Here at Chillisauce we have organised more Christmas parties than you can shake a stick at and with all our worldly knowledge on festive do’s, we have gathered some Christmas party gremlins that we want to banish to room 101.

Banished to Room 101…

Drunks – ‘Tis the season to be merry’, but not too merry, so watch your units! I don’t need to expand on all the shocking things that could happen if you do get a bit tipple happy. Ensure that you eat to line your stomach before you have a drink.

Talking shop – Try and find some common ground to chat to people on all levels; Steer clear from gossip and negative opinions on colleagues, you will have to return to work at some point and it could be awkward if you’ve joked about someone’s ‘interesting’ dance moves or pulling techniques.

Letting it all hang out – not cool. Dress appropriately, sophisticated and smart. Ladies, remember the golden rule: either show a bit of leg or show a bit of cleavage. Both together is a car crash.

Scrooges - If you want to shine and sparkle, be confident, get yourself out there and get stuck in! Always look as though you are enjoying yourself no matter how bad the party is.

Bad dj’s – Out of choice, we don’t want to dance to Abba and Wham! We know we seem like we do at midnight, but in a clear – headed state we really really don’t!

Slackers – Don’t phone in sick or turn up late the following day- and if you do make a damn good excuse- this could take weeks of preparation.

Bad food – No one likes Dry turkey. Christmas party food should be creative and tasty!

Oversised Table Centres – There’s nothing worse than not being able to see or talk to everyone on your table and being stuck talking to the people directly next to you.

Inappropriate speakers - We don’t want to hear motivational speeches and business talk at a Christmas party, let us have fun!

Novelty overkill - ho ho ho, don’t we all look funny covered in tinsel, Christmas party hats and red noses…no!

Anything you would send to Room 101? blog about it here…
