How do you judge the success of a corporate event? Smiling faces on the day? Good feedback? Well, we think the one true reflection of success is clients returning to use our services again and again.

Welcome Break are a prime example. In the past we have sent their teams on a Multi Activity Day, Stunt Driving and on a Spy Mission and their experiences using Chillisauce have been nothing but positive, so when they wanted another corporate event, Chillisauce were top of their list.

Having done some of our more conventional events in the past, Welcome Break wanted a fun or quirky event in the morning followed by an afternoon of more structured team building.

Well if it was something quirky they wanted, Ian had the perfect solution; Geese and Duck Herding. Herding has become something of a cult corporate event recently, perhaps people are getting withdrawal symptoms since the demise of ‘One Man and his Dog’? The Welcome Break team loved the idea, and in the afternoon Ian organised a classic Crystal Challenge, the quintessential team building game.

As usual with a Chillisauce event, everything was in place and ready to go weeks in advance, but then there was a massive spanner in the works- the kitchen roof at the venue Ian booked unexpectedly collapsed causing the place to be shut- and this was an established venue, not some old hut knocked up by cowboy builders! Ian, understandably perplexed, had only a matter of hours to find another venue in the area, but using his extensive knowledge he managed to book the group into a great hotel which wasn’t in the process of collapsing, much to everyone’s relief.

As expected, the rest of the event went according to plan and the Welcome Break team enjoyed their 4th exciting Chillisauce corporate event:

‘Now that our event is over I wanted to pass on my thanks to yourself, Claire and Sarah for running a superb event. The venue proved to be excellent.

The whole team thoroughly enjoyed the Geese & Duck Herding…..and Claire will be pleased to know I think I have mastered the whistle! The afternoon event was also excellent, and very well run by Sarah, with her colleagues Bruce and Don.

We even had good weather – other than a brief spat in the morning the rain held off all day! Please pass on my thanks to all concerned.’
